Pilates is BACK! If you haven’t heard of Club Pilates by now, you probably live under a rock. They offer a low-impact, full body workout that has a range of class offerings that are challenging for your body. They offer a FREE intro class for you to get a feel for the classes with no commitment. Club Pilates is the hot new fitness studio and I recently checked out the one in Emerson.

The Benefits of Pilates

Practicing Pilates can benefit everybody, weather you are an athlete looking to get stronger, or you are a beginner looking to get into a new fitness routine. Pilates creates a strong foundation of balance, strength, mobility and flexibility. The full-body, low-impact workouts consist of a high-impact challenge to stabilize the muscles of the core.  Club Pilates offers classes using an array of specialized equipment, including the Reformer, EXO-Chair Bosu Ball, TRX Suspension Trainer, springboards and more. This equipment maximizes your workout.



The Classes

Club Pilates offers a variety of different classes that go by levels.

1- Foundation
Ideal for beginners and those who want a safe and effective class experience to build a solid Pilates foundation. Focus on form and alignment to help you master the Pilates fundamentals, so that you can get the most out of your workout as you become more advanced. This class is ideal for all fitness abilities, is easily modified for those with physical limitations, and focuses on overall body awareness.
1.5- Progression

Continue to build your practice with more complex movements and use of equipment. Start exploring more precise and dynamic exercises. Class tempo is moderate and focuses on a steady class flow. Intermediate exercises and coordinated movements are introduced, along with progressions and balance and stability challenges to give you a more demanding workout.

*Club Pilates Level 1 FOUNDATIONS experience required.

2- Evolution

An inspiring and uplifting class that will fully challenge the body and mind. This moderate to fast paced class incorporates quick transitions and will introduce you to more advanced exercises and use of the apparatus. Focused on strength, in addition to balance and stability, this class creates dynamic challenges that elevate your practice.

*Club Pilates Level 1.5 PROGRESSION experience required.

2.5- Mastery

Our most advanced class level, which challenges precision and coordination, is perfect for those who have mastered form and alignment. These advanced Pilates movements are best achieved with a deep mind-body connection created from your experience in the previous class levels.

*Requires at least 3 months experience in Club Pilates Level 2 EVOLUTION, or prior instructor approval. Not recommended for those with physical limitations.
